Product Details

The YLHH VNGN160408T02520 is a 55° diamond PCBN insert designed for continuous hard turning of hardened alloy steels (HRC 45–68), cast iron, and sintered metals. The 0.8 mm nose radius and Grade FB-2 fine-grain PCBN layer deliver stable cutting edges, excellent surface finish, and 5–10× tool life compared with coated carbide.

Key Features

  • 55° diamond geometry with 16.5 mm inscribed circle — versatile for external turning and profiling
  • 0.8 mm nose radius (08) balances surface finish and edge strength
  • Grade FB-2 (~50% CBN) optimized for continuous hard turning
  • Tungsten carbide substrate with precision ground seat for secure clamping
  • Laser-marked model, grade, and batch code for full traceability

Recommended Cutting Parameters

  • Workpiece hardness: HRC 45–68 (bearing steel, tool steel, case-hardened parts)
  • Cutting speed (Vc): 80–180 m/min (dry or MQL recommended)
  • Feed rate (f): 0.05–0.25 mm/rev
  • Depth of cut (ap): 0.1–1.5 mm (finishing to semi-finishing)

Typical Applications

  • Hardened steel shaft and spindle finishing
  • Bearing inner/outer race turning
  • Gear and spline hard turning
  • Continuous external profiling on automotive drivetrain parts

Tool Holder Compatibility

  • ISO VNGN 160408 standard seat geometry
  • Compatible with PCLNR/L, SVJBR, and equivalent CBN tool holders
  • Recommended clamping torque per holder manufacturer specification
