Product Details

The YLHH RNMN150700S05020 round PCBN insert is engineered for external and internal turning, facing, and roll profiling of hardened steel and cast iron components. With a 15.875 mm inscribed circle, negative rake geometry, and Grade FB-1 (~65% CBN), it offers superior thermal stability and crater wear resistance in continuous and semi-interrupted cuts.

Key Features

  • Full-round cutting edge — no weak corner, ideal for profiling and copy turning
  • Negative rake design for maximum edge strength in hard materials
  • Grade FB-1 high-CBN content for heavy-duty continuous cutting
  • 7.94 mm thickness provides rigidity for deep cuts and heavy facing
  • Precision-ground tungsten carbide substrate with laser batch marking

Recommended Cutting Parameters

  • Workpiece hardness: HRC 45–65 or cast iron HB 180–350
  • Cutting speed (Vc): 100–220 m/min (dry cutting preferred)
  • Feed rate (f): 0.08–0.35 mm/rev
  • Depth of cut (ap): 0.2–3.0 mm

Typical Applications

  • External and internal hard turning of large bores
  • Heavy facing on hardened flanges and discs
  • Roll and cylinder profiling in steel industry
  • Mold and die cavity finishing after heat treatment

Tool Holder Compatibility

  • ISO RNMN 150700 standard round insert seat
  • Compatible with RCMX, SNMN-style round insert holders
  • Minimum bore diameter depends on holder nose radius — consult application engineer
